It is very private (no other hotels next to it) and it has a fun little bar with swings. the good thing - the WIFI was good and it included calls from your room to the US without a fee. There should be lights in the evening around those steps too. Staff did great job of cleaning up. Coffee makers in the rooms put out approximately 2 oz. Also impressed that the curtains and windows did a good job of keeping most of the courtyard sound out at night-- other than our last night when a group of drunk idiots decided it was cool after midnight to jump in the pool and whoop at the top of their lungs for a good fifteen minutes. It was ok, but not the market they are trying to be.. certainly nothing more than a 3 star property at best. Had a number of drinks that were inconsistent from drink to drink on the taste and really felt some tasted watered down which I've never said on any other trip before. A lot different than the warm friendly smiles and an 'Hola' everytime you go in the EC lounge at EPM.Our hosts were gracious enough to let us use their room to get ready for dinner. Dinner was a group dinner (10 of us) at the Italian restaurant - Portofino. It was a girls trip where we booked two rooms with two double beds only to find it was a kind bed and a cot in each room. I`m not a big fan of the reception area. Admittedly, I am incredibly biased towards EPM and just love the big wooden doors that open along with large, air conditioned lobby with that incredible smell.
